THE NICKNAME PEOPLE KNOW ME FOR…

My most common nickname is pommy …..and you can add any word you like, my family calls me Fatman, my kids love to call me Andy as they know I hate it with a passion and want to be called Dad.

IN A NUTSHELL, MY JOB IS TO…

Connect with SMEs and get to know their business operations to see if invoice finance may be of value to them, I also talk to a lot of brokers and accountants on a daily basis, swapping ideas to ensure I understand clients needs as they are ever-evolving.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I’VE LEARNT IN THE PAST FIVE YEARS IS…

To back William Pike in the last. I really try not to take myself too seriously and attempt to make people smile as often as I can.

MY FIRST JOB OUT OF SCHOOL WAS…

As a local Barrow Boy at the Fruit Markets, yes I was that kid shouting pound a pound your bananas!!!

IF I HAD THE DAY OFF TODAY, YOU WOULD FIND ME…

I love observing people and their habits so what better places than the beach and shops to do that. Although I must admit I tend to stare a little too much which can be off-putting for some.

MY FAVOURITE BOOK/MOVIE/SONG IS…

Movies are Rocky 1, 2, 3 and 5 plus The Shawshank Redemption has to be in there. I don’t read as much as I should but when I do it’s always a Jeffrey Archer book. On the music front, anything Motown I love.

MY FAVOURITE THING ABOUT APRICITY IS…

Having worked for myself for 25 years I can honestly say joining the Apricity team has given me the support I often lacked working alone, I enjoy the team environment and always having someone to talk to if there is something I don’t understand or want to learn more about.

My confidence has skyrocketed since joining Apricity and my self worth improves the longer I am part of the team. I am very happy I took the leap to join such a supportive group of people.
