Robin joined Apricity in 2019 after 20 years in the television industry. She has extensive experience working in high pressure, time-sensitive environments and brings skills developed during this time to enable her to effectively manage the busy schedule of the CEO and other team members.
The expected nicknames, Robbie or Rob. When I worked in England, my colleagues thought it was funny to call me Row-bin Roo in their best (not very good) Aussie accents.
Manage Apricity CEO, Linden Toll’s working life as well as assist Sales, Marketing, Finance and Admin departments.
Don’t be afraid of change. I moved to the Southern Highlands from Sydney, leaving behind a job in an industry in which I’d worked for almost 20 years. It was a big change, a little overwhelming at times but I am very happily settled in Bowral and so glad that I did it.
Working as a ‘Mother’s Help’ in London, which is an unqualified Nanny, or au pair. As well as looking after 3 children I had to do menial tasks such as brushing the stairs by hand – it was a tall, narrow terrace house and the vacuum didn’t reach. However, I met my closest friend through that job and 30 years later, we are still good friends and laugh at the memory of the stair brushing.
Reading a book, bingeing a TV show or in the garden. Gardening for me is all trial and error as I don’t really know what I’m doing, but I do enjoy the literal fruits of my labour and eat the veggies and herbs I grown in my garden.
One of my favourite books is His Dark Materials. It’s actually a series of three books, by Phillip Pullman. They are such a good read with a gripping story and characters, that I find myself re-reading them every few years.
The people! The people make the company. Everyone at Apricity has been friendly and welcoming right from the start. It really is a family and that outlook extends to Apricity’s approach to clients.
