National Head of Sales and Relationships
Tony joined us in early 2014 and is a key client relationship manager. He works closely with our clients to ensure the Apricity model is right for their business.
Prior to joining Apricity, Tony owned and operated his own hotels for more than 20 years, providing him with extensive knowledge of small to medium enterprises, and the day-to-day challenges and opportunities these face. During this time, he served as the president of the Australian Hotels Association (Far South Coast Branch).
Together with his beautiful wife and two youngest children, Tony moved to the Southern Highlands in 2013. However, in his heart he will always proudly be a boy from Bankstown.
My wife calls me ‘Mister’ (among other names), and over the years I have have been known to be called ‘Big News’ and ‘The Daddy’, but most of the time ‘Mister’!
Every day, I constantly striving to gain more exposure for the Apricity Finance brand, and educating businesses across Australia, the ways in which Apricity can help. It’s my job to explain and highlight our points of difference from our competitors in the industry, meet and onboard new clients and maintain relationships.
Most importantly, I am always on the look out for new opportunities to bring to the table.
The best things I have learned are to surround yourself with good people, never take things for granted, help as many people as you can where possible and to always live life to the fullest.
We have a sign in our house that says, “live life like there’s no tomorrow, no one gets out alive anyway” which pretty much sums me up to a tee!
I began my working life by starting as an apprentice Greenkeeper, and gardening is something I still love to do today.
If you don’t find me at the pub (but on the other side of the bar), I’ll either be on the beach in summer sun or gardening and working on my beautiful home, which is something I get a lot of enjoyment from in my spare time.
All books written by Les Norton are favourites of mine. My favourite movies are Heat and Remember The Titans.
I’ve been known to belt out tunes from INXS, Cold Chisel and Aussie Crawl on a Saturday night!
I love being part of the wonderful team at Apricity, and going through the changes and growth as the company goes from strength to strength. When I started, there were only a few of us in the office, and now there are 20+ staff and growing. Leadership is a reflection of attitude, and something that comes from the top down, giving for an amazing atmosphere within the business.
Apricity is always looking at ways for the team to bond and strengthen us both individually and as a team. Whether it be training days, staff birthday celebrations, drinks at the pub, BBQ’s at each others homes, watching the boss’ beloved Randwick rugby team with a can in hand, or just being told “you’re doing a great job” – the culture is amazing and it’s a team I am proud to be part of.
