WHO ARE THE CQ CAPRAS?
The Central Queensland Capras are the premier rugby league club in Central Queensland. Based in Rockhampton, the Capras represent the Central Queensland region from Bundaberg and Gladstone in the south, Emerald, Blackwater & Longreach in the west to Clermont in the north.
The Capras compete in the state-wide Intrust Super Cup Competition which is the direct pathway to the NRL and widely regarded as the second-best rugby league competition in Australia. The Capras currently provide a true pathway for aspiring junior players to play their junior football in Central Queensland representing the Junior Capras through to the Intrust Super Cup Level and then onto the NRL.
INTRUST SUPER CUP 2021 PRE-SEASON CHALLENGE
Apricity Finance was proud to be the key sponsor for the pre-season weekend of football in February 2021.
The massive footy weekend consisted of a sports luncheon with Apricity Finance ambassador the Raging Bull Gorden Tallis, a junior coaching clinic for up and coming rugby league stars and three action-packed games of football.
The Intrust Super Cup pre-season challenge was played between the Central Queensland Capras and the Sunshine Coast Falcons was played at Marley Brown Oval in Gladstone. Former NRL players Jarrod Mullen and Kurt Baptiste played for the Sunshine Coast Falcons against the CQ Capras in Gladstone at the Marley Brown Oval. The day was a success for the Capras, both on and off the field.
